What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve?

The song “What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve?” has been running through my head since yesterday. It’s a sweet (even romantic) song that has been covered by many talents.

But, really, what are you up to on this New Year’s Eve? Yes, I’m writing a blog post. Yes, I chose to stay home this year and enjoy my space and just time for me, especially while recuperating from both the semester and my recent drive to visit friends and family in Wisconsin. Feels good.

I find it fascinating when considering how we all choose to celebrate and mark our holidays. Do you tend to stay with the same tradition(s) each year or try new things? I’ve enjoyed trying new versions of celebrations and gatherings, especially now living away from family for eight years, and having the contrast and different experiences has added so much greatness. I’ve enjoyed getting out of my comfort zone and doing different things. Whatever you’re doing tonight and do for the holidays in 2011, choose joy and be in the moment. Be safe not just tonight but all year long.

And either tonight or tomorrow (January 1, 2011), I hope we all can take at least a moment to envision the year we want and be thankful for all we have—gratitude first. January 1, 2011: 1-1-11. One in numerology is about the start of a new cycle; 111 in angel numbers is about focusing your intentions on what you’d like to manifest and what you desire. Learn more at this link. Make sure your thoughts represent what you desire and avoid spending thoughts on things that drain you; keep it positive! Start manifesting! Here’s to the best year ever.

I choose to celebrate in new ways myself. I don’t have a problem enjoying time by myself or with others. Happiness, Love, & Much Laughter is what I choose for 2011! Keep it safe and enjoyable always!!!
